How to Claim back cost from medical expenses:

If like many you have accumulated receipts for GP visits, blood tests, specialist visits, x-rays or ultrasounds and prescriptions, there are a number of ways you can claim some of these costs back.

If you, like many other have accumulated lots of receipts from GP visits, blood tests, specialist visits etc, there are ways of claiming some of those expenses back.

If you don’t have private health insurance you can claim back a portion of your expenses against the tax that you pay on your earnings. To do this you need to fill in a MED 1 form (you can download from http://www.revenue.ie/forms/med1.pdf ) and send it back to your local Revenue office.
